Update July 13, 2007
Brittany is doing ok today. She had a set back a few days ago. She was sleeping a lot, had bad headaches, and vomiting. She is still sleeping a lot but, at least the headaches have subsided. Here is a prayer that someone had posted on KU that I thought I would share with everyone.
For Brittany;
To a dear sweet child whose presence stands tall
I want you to know what you mean to us all
Through your courage you have helped us all to grow
You have touched the hearts of so many you know
You are an angel among us, a privilege to see
A special little girl you will always be
So as I look through the window to the sky so blue
My thoughts turn to all of the prayers for you

Prayers for peace instead of pain
Prayers for today and again for tomorrow

Update June 28, 2007
Brittany was in the hospital last weekend for swelling of the brain. She was put on steroids and they seem to be working. She has been entered into Hospice care. The steroids have helped with her energy level and her appettite. Please keep Brittany and the family in your prayers.
Update June 16, 2007
Brittany had an MRI on the 14th and the tumor has grown about 50%. She is experiencing left sided weakness and headaches right now. The doctor's have told us that she can not continue in the trial that she was in and they are not sure if she will qualify for any others. They said we need to focus on keeping her comfortable. Also they have told us that we are looking at weeks to months with Brittany and not Months to years. Please keep us in your prayers. This is going to be a very hard time for our family. I will keep you all updated as I can.

Update: May 27, 2007
Brittany just finished her 2nd round of Chemo. She got pretty sick in the middle of the week but, seemed to do much better towards the end of the week. She is one tough cookie. She has been tired still but, doing very well. She will go on June 14th for another MRI and we will get the results on the 15th. If the tumor is still growing then we will look at other protocols. I will post after the 15th with an update.

Update: May 10th
Brittany just had her 10th Birthday. She is so into Cheetah girls right now so everything has to be Cheetah Print. In fact a friend and I just had to paint her room with one wall in Cheetah print. She was so excited when she came home from school to find her room was done. My whole family went in for her birthday and got her an IPOD. She just loves it and carries it with her everywhere. We got her the video IPOD so she could watch her Cheetah Girls and Hanna Montana when she is at the hospital.
We know that we are facing a miracle with Brittany. The doctors are already in such shock that she has no symptoms yet. She doesn't even get the headaches like most people with a brain tumor would. We have told her that she was pushed off her bike by her gaudian angel that day so we would find this. We know God is at work with her and helping her to not have any symptoms. Brittany is currently going through Chemotherapy 1 week out of every month. She just had her first round and will start her second on May 21, 2007. We will see if this Chemo is working around the week of June 15th. If it is still growing then we will have to see what other trials are available at that time.
Brittany feels like a celebrity right now. We really appreciate the support and prayers we have received from the community. I don't think we could get through this without all of you.
